VinterJazz: Motuz Group
Motuz Group is a cross-border quartet that reinterprets legendary songs through music and contemporary dance in a powerful live experience, where sound and movement unfold together in the present.
Voice, saxophone, double bass and dance form a close and responsive ensemble, built on communication, presence and shared decisions. Musical ideas set the body in motion, movement shapes the music, and the performance develops through this living dialogue — creating an experience that feels alive, present and deeply human.
The core of Motuz's work is spontaneous interaction. Well-known and beloved songs form the foundation and open up new perspectives when they are shaped and changed through shared interpretation, improvisation and movement. Each performance is created in the moment and is never repeated.
Intimate, theatrical and emotional, Motuz addresses audiences with an interest in jazz, contemporary dance, theatre and performance.
Louise Schrøder
The Piano Concerto was originally written for full orchestra commissioned by the Aarhus Chamber Orchestra, but for this concert you will experience the work in a more intimate format; a piano quintet with accompanying electronic elements, as well as a number of guest soloists.

With his great sense of quality, he carefully selects the names, picking from the top of jazz, both locally, nationally and internationally. Modes of Perception is an international jazz quintet uniting musicians from Poland, the UK, and Slovakia. Our project blends a variety of traditional jazz idioms with a modern approach and fresh perspective on the genre. You can expect two sets of original compositions and arrangements crafted by different members of the band. Our music explores modern jazz, groove jazz, modal jazz, mixing swing, Latin, and Afro idioms. The project is preparing for a European tour that begins in July and culminates at the Stockholm Jazz Festival, so don’t miss out!
